April 3, 2009-Central Perks

TPS Retiree Group members enjoyed lunch together Apr. 3rd in Marshall at Central Perks. It was a perfect day to stroll up and down the street as stores were explored nearby. The time ended as future suggestions were made for the next time together.

Just A Quick Note

TPS Retirees, it is that time again to gather together. If you are free on Friday, April 3rd, plan to meet at 11:30a.m. for lunch at Central Perks in Marshall. We can explore some of the unique shops on that street and maybe even discover an estate sale in Marshall since it will be on a Friday. Let me know if you will plan on being there or even if you are unable to join us on that day. I look forward to hearing from all of you soon. I hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather too!

Feb. 25, 2009-Heartland Ham Company

The TPS Retiree Group enjoyed lunch at the Heartland Ham Company in Longview today. Reva shared her daughter's beautiful wedding pictures with everyone there. We caught up on the news and shared memories of our years of teaching. After lunch those that were interested in scrapbooking went on to Scrapbooks N Such to check out their Wednesday special. Before members said their goodbyes, plans were discussed for the next time together. We are loving retirement!

Just A Quick Note

It's about time for a visit and a meal together! Let's gather at Heartland Ham Co. in Longview on Wed. the 25th of February. Let's plan to gather at 11:30a.m. for lunch and a long visit. Then for those that want to check out scrapbooking supplies on that day,  the visit could continue at Scrapbooking 'N Such. So  all retirees get out that pen and  mark your calendar. Jan. 13, 2009-Papacita's

Cool weather and hot Mexican food was just the right combination for the TPS Retiree group on Jan. 13, 2009. Members enjoyed the outing on a beautiful, but cool day. Elaine, our newest retiree, was greeted at her first time with us as a retiree. Those meeting for lunch at Papacita's were Bernice, Nelda, Marilyn, Elaine, and Susan. Members shared the news and left looking forward to the next occasion together. 

Just A Quick Note

Our next time together will be Jan. 13, at Papacita's Mexican Restaurant, at 11:30a.m. I have heard from several already and will send out a reminder email closer to the day. I'll tell you then who to watch for when you get there. Many of you have already  sent your information for our information sheet. I am putting it all together and will send it by email soon.  Look forward to seeing everyone Jan. 13th!

Dec. 8, 2008- McAlister's Deli and The Mud Hut

New memories were made as the Tatum Primary School Retiree group got together. Eight of the ten members gathered on Dec. 8th in Longview. It turned out to be a great way to catch up on news, look at recent grandbaby and wedding pictures, and to share minutes as lunch was enjoyed at McAlister's Deli. Those retirees that gathered around the table were Sherry, Pam, Nancy S., Carolyn, Nelda, Bernice, Reva, and Susan. After lunch some members continued the fun by going to The Mud Hut to paint a Christmas ornament. What nice memories! 

Oct. 30, 2008- Cheddars

We met at Cheddars in Longview for lunch. The weather was beautiful as we caught up on news and enjoyed time together. The members attending were Nelda, Carolyn, Nancy S., Reva, and Susan. 

Sept. 24, 2008-The Butcher Shop

Our group met at The Butcher Shop in Longview for the start of the 08-09 year. We shared news as we enjoyed lunch together. Those gathering together were Nelda, Carolyn, Nancy S., Bernice, and Susan. Reva and Sherry are our new retirees that joined the group this year. We were thrilled to have two more join us. It's so nice to have more than thirty minutes to eat lunch! Don't you retirees agree?
